Pitt's advice for online lovers

Brad Pitt has taken time out of his acting schedule to share his thoughts on the etiquette of internet romance.

In a tongue-in-cheek Q-and-A with Wired magazine, the actor advised that lying in online personal ads was okay, as everyone was doing it.

But posting a picture of your wife's butt on Twitter was not acceptable behaviour, the 45-year-old sagely advised.

Responding to Ashton Kutcher's decision to post a photo of Demi Moore's derriere on Twitter, Brad told readers of the magazine: "Don't take a picture of your wife's butt. That's silly. Take a picture of other people's wives' butts."

The Inglourious Basterds star also advised online daters to lie about their income to attract the right person.

"Everyone lies online. In fact, readers expect you to lie. If you don't, they'll think you make less than you actually do."

Other nuggets of wisdom delivered by Brad include never making a phone call while in the bathroom.
