Forget spoilt celeb kids, the Jolie-Pitt children are angels
with Maddox leading by example

Barely a week goes by without a new story about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Speculation’s rife about their supposedly faltering relationship – but while Brangelina may or may not be on the rocks, it appears it’s their six children who hold the Jolie-Pitt family together. But they’re proving that, despite living a multi-million pound lifestyle, they’re not spoilt celeb kids. In fact, adopted children Maddox, Zahara, and Pax, and biological kids Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, are setting an example to other celeb babies, with their empathy for other kids and ability to share. And it seems the Jolie-Pitt brood follow in the footsteps of their humanitarian parents.
A source close to the family says: ‘Maddox is only eight, but from his visits to places where people are not as lucky as he is, he’s learned the lessons of being a humanitarian. He spent time in New Orleans where poverty is common and things were hard after Hurricane Katrina. ‘He’s been on the site where Brad’s heading a homes development for people who lost their houses. Brad tells them it’s important to help your fellow man. He always adds, “and your family, too”.’
Maddox has visited orphanages in foreign countries and is said to always share his own toys with the children there. A friend says: ‘Sometimes the kids will fight over a toy, and Maddox, instead of handing it to the crying kid, he’ll explain how it’s great that they have almost everything they want. All of the kids look up to Maddox. Unlike many eight year olds, he has no trouble sharing. He’s willing to give up a sandwich to a kid who says he’s hungry. He’s paternal with people who are needy, even with people three times his age.’
According to the family friend, the other children are just as generous. She says: ‘I’ve never seen such kind, giving children. Especially at their ages. Pax loves Maddox and follows his lead. Zahara is a leader type and she has a buoyant, bright personality. She mothers Shiloh but makes it known she’s older than her sister. Shiloh is the little mother. She watches over the twins like a mum. She especially loves Vivienne.’ If only all celeb offspring could be this kind...
